The days of Colangelo hiring a UA student to do his logo are long gone.
BUT, that doesn't mean that fan feedback to the grand high mucky mucks aren't important.
Bryne took a bold step with the copper helmets, and I applaud him for it. Personally, I would've picked silver as a our base because of history, but copper has meaning too and I'm cool with the progressiveness (and I like shiny).
When the players come out this year with copper helmets, I think the place will explode and the players will be jacked.
So now, some fans (us and maybe others) are giving feedback that, okay, we're on board with the copper helmets, but let's take a look at folding that in better with the "old" branding guidelines. The "old" guidelines never had pantone copper as a more primary color.
I think that Bryne is very progressive (which he's proving), and when the time and contractual obligations are right, will say ... you betcha ... let's take it another step.
Thanks for feedback to Bryne's office, Filthy ... I don't think it'll all be in vein despite the standard response.
I vote for Puma ... dump Nike.
In my best John Beluschi voice ... WHO'S WITH ME??? .... ARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH (where'd everybody go?)
