Off the top of my head, I believe that A-State obtained university status around 1958, and I thought that the Sun Devils had the head-to-head advantage since the date at which both were universities.

Regardless, the thing about "scoreboard" is that it's just too transitory to really mean anything to me. Maybe during the offseason while there's nothing else going on, but to me it's little different than looking back to two years ago or six years ago or ten years ago once the new season begins. You may feel differently, and fair enough, but the scoreboard lights were turned out a couple of hours after the game ended. And there is very little permanence to these things, as illustrated by the fact that you guys were in the dumps just a couple of years ago while Devil fans thought that our runner-up season in 2007 was just a preview to even greater and more lasting greatness. Similarly, back in 1999, you guys were riding high with a #4 preseason ranking and expecting a lasting dominance, while Devil fans were realizing that Snyder was a one-trick pony. So quit wetting your your britches and yapping, you damned Chihuahua... ;-)
